NCFCA Rule Changes to Apologetics (Round 2)

I noted the changes to the Apol rules last October. Yesterday, another update was posted to the IE page.

For those of you who are tracking the NCFCA’s revamping of the IE events, below is a compared document showing a mark-up of the changes to Apol

(NOTE: Because only the .pdf file was posted, I had to convert it to .docx for the comparison. So a few of the mark-ups might be a bit screw-ball).

With my brother’s wedding in a week, I don’t have time to offer commentary right now,but I’ll try to get to it in the next few weeks.

Until then, leave a comment and tell me what you think!

    Hi David,

So what exactly is the really big difference? I must be reading it strange, but it seemed pretty similar…

There are a few changes. Again, we’ll get to them in the weeks to come.

Off the top of my head: the source citation requirement is increased. The mixed category option at Nats is introduced. The confusing “one box, one student” requirement is removed. Other than that, some redundancy is introduced to make the rules more explicit.

    Does that make sense?

Thanks and looking forward to the next information!

Sorry, I misspoke. The “one box, one student” rule wasn’t removed, it was just given it’s own entry.

    My bad!
